Hogback Ridge Wildflower Hike

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

April 28 Field Trip

See acres of woodland wildflowers including dainty trilliums and bluebells at the height of the season on this naturalist-led hike of Hogback Ridge in Lake Metroparks. Wear appropriate shoes for dirt trails and clothing for the cool weather. Lunch before at Cornerstone Brewing Company in Madison, paid on your own.

Leave Community House at 10:30 am, return by 5 pm.
Members: $5 Non-members: $10
(Plus $5 to driver for gas.)

Container Gardening Workshop

May 10 Workshop

Relax with wine and cheese in a tent at Dean’s Greenhouse. Then get inspired as the pros at Dean’s help you make a spectacular container garden. Bring your own clean pot or purchase one there. Dean’s supplies the fresh potting soil. You purchase the plants you choose. Great Mother’s Day gift idea, too.

6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Register early. Space is limited.
Registration not open to non-members until April 24.

Members: $5 Non-members: $10

Members only. Join us and join the fun!

Our final club-wide get together is too much fun to miss. Members bring a salad or appetizer to share. Board members bring a dessert to share. Everyone brings a flower to add to a central arrangement. Bring plants to exchange with others.

Put-in-Bay Garden Tour & Luncheon

July 21 Field Trip

Take a fun ferry ride, then tour five island gardens ending with a garden tea and luncheon at the Put-in-Bay Winery and Gardens at the Doller House. A raffle of island prizes will be held during the luncheon. Hosted by Put-in-Bay Garden Club.

8 am – 4 pm. Fee includes tour, lunch and ferry.
